MAJI

a fusion of Japanese and Korean cuisine

Japanese and Korean cuisine are world renowned. This group collaborative project gave us the opportunity to design a restaurant based on these different styles of cuisine. Maji’s branding was inspired by how the Sea of Japan meets the shore of Korea. A fusion of both cultures and cuisine coming together harmoniously. The two styles overlap and merge with each other throughout the restaurant with a traditional and modern design.

As you travel through the floor plan of Maji, you are immersed in the expressive cultures of Japanese and Korean cuisine. The bar and lounge area is designed for quick drinks and light appetizers, and the further you move through the restaurant, the more formal and private it becomes. There is a sushi bar anchoring the floor plan as guests can see it from multiple angles and is an experience in of itself.
