to make better; improve.
to progress toward recovery; to grow back together.
healing can only be done through the mending of the body and mind. grasping at the ideas of stitching and rebuilding, mending came into the light as the perfect balance between the two.

the gesture connects one side of the building to the next almost creating a stitch, representing the healing that is done in this facility both mentally and physically. the pulling of each side creates a sense of community within the centre of the space where individuals can connect.
